People often say "I got my license, now what?"
The answer is the "2006 ARRL Southwestern Division
Convention" where Hams can learn about many aspects
of Amateur Radio from Hams with diverse and experienced
backgrounds, who will be presenting forums on the latest
info in their various areas of expertise". Convention

The theme of our convention is disaster preparedness and
this year's convention offers a wealth of information through
the following experienced Hams: The banquet speaker is Gordon
West; the luncheon speaker is Bob Heil; there are over 40
other speakers who will present one hour forums at the convention.
There is a wide range of topics and experience ranging from
Monica Zech on CERT; Roxanne Provznik from CDF; Joe Madas
on emergency communications; Malcolm Levy on PSK-31;Terry
Baxter on 50 MHZ Dxing; Hank Wayne on antenna vehicle installation;
Howard White on Winlink; April Moel on Hospital Communications;
Rick Aldom on a new ARES web system; and many more. These
experienced Hams will be sharing some of the latest up to
date info in their various specialty areas and all speaker
forums at the convention are free with your paid admission.
We are still in the pre-registration phase so the price
is right! Of course, tickets will also be sold at the door.
Everyone is invited to attend the convention, including
non-Hams, visitors, family, friends, and walk ins. Come
and see what Amateur Radio is all about. For anyone who
has ever thought "What is Amateur Radio all about?"
or said "I've got my license, now what?” come
join us at the convention and see first hand what Amateur
Radio is all about and what it does for our community.

in Mission Valley, CA.
The Banquet Speaker will be Gordon West, WB6NOA.We will
have Exhibitors from all aspects of Amateur Radio, Speakers sharing
their thoughts about the fine art of Ham Radio. Also Scheduled:
Swap meet, T-Hunt, Radio Room, Prizes and lots of equipment to
check out and buy.

Early Bird Registration deadline is April 30, 2006. If
you register prior to April 30, 2006, registration is $15.00,
